For instruments with ivory keys (manufactured before 1975), PianoInfo offers a complete CITES Provenance Dossier module. Compile a complete provenance dossier with chain of ownership, photos and documents. Additionally, PianoInfo assists you in generating an expert declaration and the accompanying dossier — for your own instrument or for your client. The generated PDF declaration contains all information required for a CITES application. Essential for the legal trade in pianos and grand pianos with ivory.

Serial Number & Year of Manufacture

With our extensive serial number database, you can look up the year of manufacture of pianos and grand pianos. The database contains thousands of brands and is regularly updated. This feature is free for everyone — including private individuals.

About the Creator

PianoInfo.com is an initiative by Edward Meijer — piano tuner and piano dealer. The platform was born from daily practice and the need to gain better insight into the many processes involved in the professional operation of a piano business.

From looking up serial numbers and build years, to correctly documenting instruments with ivory key coverings and complying with CITES regulations: these are all tasks that take time and require precision. PianoInfo brings these processes together in one place, so that fellow professionals can focus on what matters most — the instrument.

The platform is developed and managed by Edan Creative. PianoInfo is hosted in the Netherlands and is fully GDPR compliant. Payments are processed securely via Mollie.
